Masquerade is a conceptual first-person stealth action game. In this world, your social status, safety, and your very right to exist are determined solely by the face you choose to wear.

01. MISSION

You are a thief who has infiltrated a high-society carnival held in a sprawling luxury estate. Your prize: the world's largest diamond. To reach it, you must navigate through three palace wings, carefully shifting your social identity to bypass security.

Warning: The moment your mask is removed, you are no longer part of the elite. You are a trespasser. You are a target.

02. CORE MECHANICS

• Mask System: 4 distinct emotional statuses (Sadness, Calm, Rage, Arrogance). Each grants access to restricted zones and specific social tasks.
• Fragile Identity: High-status masks are unstable and last for a limited time. Suspicion from guards or security cameras will cause your mask to shatter.
• Social Quests: Complete 4 unique challenges within the estate to prove your status and unlock the path to the final vault.

This project was developed for the Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2026. It serves as a technical prototype focused on atmosphere and the social stealth mechanic.
